This year Queen's Thrive Week--meant to celebrate

This year Queen's Thrive Week--meant to celebrate a decade of “thriving together” at the university--included layoffs and position restructures targeting support staff. Because what's better for building positive mental health in the workplace than job insecurity? 🤷‍♀️ USW Local 2010's current priority is supporting our members who have been affected by these cuts. But we urge the administration to prioritize transparency and stability as a foundation for true community well-being. We say again, loud and proud: Queen's only works because we do!

On October 24th, 2024 USW 2010 President Kelly Orser met with Nick Mosey, Chief of Staff to Principal Patrick Deane, and delivered our Majority Petition with a letter calling for fair bargaining and action on staffing shortages.
