Board of Directors

The Steelworkers Humanity Fund is an incorporated registered Canadian charitable organization (Registration # 11917 2278 RR0001).

The Board of Directors of the Steelworkers Humanity Fund is made up of a mixture of elected directors of the United Steelworkers, local union activists drawn from the union’s three Canadian Districts and USW staff. Directors are typically elected for a two-year or three-year term. The Canadian National Director, and the Directors of Districts 3, 5, and 6 normally hold seats on the Board of Directors. Decisions on which projects to fund are made based on recommendations of the Project Review Committee (PRC), which includes one USW local activist from each of the union’s three Canadian Districts.
