Meetings are held the last Tuesday of every month starting at 4:45 pm in the Union Office Boardroom (excluding July and August). USW members are welcome to attend.

There are several USW vacancies on Joint Health and Safety Committees across campus. Please contact liza.cote@usw2010.ca or the USW office 613-533-2693 if interested in filling a position on one of the below committees:

1) University Administrative Services – 2010-01 member (1 position)
2) Physical Plant Services – 2010 member (1 position)
3) Engineering and Applied Science – 2010-01 (1 position)
4) Faculty of Health Sciences – 2010-01 (1 position)


The Department of Environmental Health and Safety will be offering First Aid & CPR (Standard level -2 day) training.

This training is available to Queen’s Staff, Faculty and Graduate students. Training will be conducted in Faculty and Staff Learning Facility, located in Complex B176 of Mackintosh-Corry Hall, Seminar Room. Training is scheduled to run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.
There is no cost to attend this course, however, a valid account code is required to register.

You are eligible for Standard 2-day First Aid if you have never taken First Aid, or your certification has expired.

Standard (2-day) First Aid training will be offered on the following date:
-June 27-28 (Tues & Wed)
