Health & Safety Committee

Chair: Liza Cote |
Members: Pamela Bandy-Dafoe, Cathy Nelson, Abigail Scott
Meetings are held the last Tuesday of every month starting at 12:05 pm in the Union Office Boardroom (excluding December, July and August). USW members are welcome to attend.

October is Canada’s Healthy Workplace Month and your USW Health and Safety Committee would like to offer our members a special 1 hour wellness session from our EFAP provider, Homewood Health.

The Science of Happiness:
Scientific studies have shown that 50% of our individual differences in happiness are determined by our genes, 10% by our life circumstances, and 40% by our intentional activities. This one-hour session will introduce participants to some of the research-based “happy habits” that can be adopted to increase levels of happiness and well-being.

12:05pm – 12:55 pm | 154 Albert Street | USW Office Boardroom

If you are interested in attending this complimentary workshop, please RSVP to by October 24.
